Meet the Team
At Q6 Trail Design & Dirt Works, we believe great trails do more than connect points on a map—they connect people to nature, to community, and to themselves. Based in Central Texas and operating across the United States, Q6 specializes in designing and building trails that invite adventure and inspire connection. From flowing mountain bike trails and rugged singletrack to tranquil hiking paths and safe, scenic horseback riding routes, we craft trails for every skill level and setting. Whether it’s urban footpaths or remote backcountry rides, we blend thoughtful design with a deep respect for the land.
Our founder, Jared Quirk, has been moving dirt since the days of Tonka trucks and carried that childhood passion into a career spanning over 14 years. A graduate of Texas A&M’s Recreation, Parks & Tourism Science program, Jared honed his craft at Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico—where he still returns seasonally—learning the art of using terrain, grade, and flow to build unforgettable trails. In 2020, he launched Q6 to bring that same energy and experience to communities across the country.
In 2023, Jared met his partner in life and on the trail, Lauren Manning—an avid horseback rider with thousands of miles under her saddle and a deep love for the wilderness. Raised camping and backpacking through the Sierra Nevadas and Yosemite, Lauren brings a unique rider’s perspective to Q6. She understands that the best equestrian trails not only show off the landscape’s beauty but also offer dynamic, varied riding experiences. With an eye for both adventure and accessibility, Lauren helps design trails that accommodate all riders and horses—from kids and young horses to seasoned trail teams. In addition to trail development, she consults on the development of equestrian facilities including arenas, boarding setups, and campgrounds, adding a valuable layer of expertise to Q6’s offerings.
Beyond trails, we also offer dirt work services such as grading, driveways, retaining walls, fire pit locations, and water management—providing both recreational and residential solutions with precision and care.
Our mission is simple: to create as many opportunities as possible for people from all walks of life to experience and appreciate the outdoors. Whether we’re building for cities, private landowners, land trusts, or the U.S. Forest Service, we’re driven by a love of the land and a belief in the power of outdoor spaces to enrich lives.
